Gutted. Healthy Gut Foods

So I'm trying to be conscious of what I eat and how it affects my gut health.

Lately I've been thinking more about what I'm consuming and how it makes me feel. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my food and eating is an exciting part of the day for me. Where it's creating an idea, following through to cooking and preparing and enjoying the finished result. But I have cut down on eating white carbs, dairy and meat to a few times a week and not everyday.

I did some research on foods to eat that help with gut bacteria.

Here are some specific foods that are beneficial for gut health:

1. Fermented Foods: These contain healthy bacteria that help promote a balanced microbiome in the gut. Examples include yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, and kefir.

1. Kefir: This fermented milk is packed with probiotics that can help keep your gut healthy.

2. Sauerkraut: This fermented cabbage is rich in vitamins, minerals, and probiotics.

3. Kimchi: This Korean dish is made of fermented cabbage and other vegetables and is also rich in probiotics.

4. Yogurt: This fermented milk product is a good source of protein and calcium, as well as probiotics.

5. Tempeh: This fermented soybean product is a good source of protein and probiotics.

6. Miso: This fermented soybean paste is rich in probiotics and can be used in soup or as a seasoning.

7. Pickles: These fermented cucumbers are a good source of probiotics.

So even trying to add a little bit of one of those in your diet may just help look after your gut. As well as all the other benefits each food contains. I'm going to start making some of these fermented foods at home. If you have any recipes please share!
